This page lists all supported media formats, import sources, and text character limits in Exhibit.
Supported media & import sources
On exhibit.so, items are imported via IIIF Presentation API 2.0 or 3.0 manifests and IIIF Collections:

Character limits

| Exhibit Description | Up to 1,000 characters | Required in Settings. Rich-text formatting counts towards the 1,000-character limit. |
| Quiz Complete Message | Up to 1,000 characters | Shown when Template is set to Quiz. Rich-text formatting counts towards the limit. |
| Step Comment / Question | Up to 2,500 characters | Rich-text description or quiz question on each step card (see Adding Item Descriptions). |
| Quiz Answer Option | Up to 100 characters | Text for each multiple-choice answer in the Quiz template. |
